"She Lives in a Time of Her Own"-Post 16

They could of left  watermark at bottom .. never understood the point of obscuring a image with words.

From hand painted stamp from 1930's.. although original black & white portraits better (but a rubbish size to post here)

Been watching lots of  old flicks on youtube ... heres a gem from 1937 -(english translators nuts dictates dada so worth watching just to see Danielle Darrieux's beauty style and performance as Lydia ..I envy you if you're fluent in  French.

Santa has the Blues! Some un-seasonal French New Wave .. a film about dufflecoats -but Martine's rocks the most... at least the  translator works properly on this one.

What can I say? Berets . big shiny coats and frenchieness just go together so well Michelle Morgan stills from "Le Quai des Brunes" from 1939 which translates as "Port of Sorrows" here's a trailer Interview about that movie subtitls hopefully work-some lovely images . Nice dress. Couldn't feature Port of Sorrow" but did  find this windswept epic  "Stormy Waters" also starring Madeline Renaud...subtitles provide more surrealist comedy -guess I'll have to watch this for its filmaking rather than the dialouge ...

You must excuse me as I like to spend time in the 20th Century (kind of miss it sometimes)
